ResearchSaskatchewan has invested heavily in herb, spice and natural health product research over the last twenty years. Below are a sample of recent research initiatives.

HERB AND SPICE & SPECIALTY AG RESEARCH IN SASKATCHEWAN

— Screening coriander, dill, fennel and cumin for reaction to flower blight

— Field evaluation of doubled haploids of dill, fennel and other Umbelifereae

— Study of genetic variability in cumin

— Study of genetic variability in milk thistle

— Study of milk thistle agronomy under dryland conditions
